Oh, the joy! Daran Rehmeyer of African Leadership Partners has been in the US for several weeks raising support, and we were blessed, along with Tom and Doreen Strohm of Jesus Cares Ministries, to be able to host him for a weekend. We got to hear him give presentations to two groups--one at a dessert gathering at the home of Ed and Margaret Reis, and the other at Love of the Lord Community Church. Lots of tears, lots of hope through Christ. It meant so much to John and me to be able to connect face-to-face to get further clarity about what is going on over there, and ask lots of questions (poor Daran--thanks for your patience with us!) about the possibility of both short term and long term mission trips there for John and me.
